A Chilean artist, a creative nomad, a proponent of psychological expressionism.

Jaime often doesn’t title pieces to allow for pure, unfiltered reactions to the artwork shaped solely by the viewer’s unique perception. Words can influence our experience of artwork, morphing the visual object into something other than its bare form. Jaime however encourages attention to the bare form of his paintings with scientific-like curiosity towards people’s varying responses and the messages they receive from each piece.

Much of his practice overlaps with theories that informed the Rorschach test, in which interpretation of images often draws more attention to the observer than the observed. In this same way, Jaime allows his viewers to engage in self-reflection and exploration into their own psyche.
